Yes, I said it.
Relationship or not, Valentines Day is foolish. If you need a holiday to profess your love for someone, you don’t love them. Love is unconditional, and is not subject to or heightened on one day out of the year. Don’t waste your money on those silly cards, mass produced chocolates, or the roses that really smell like boo-boo. Give me Valentines Day in July, when I least expect it.
So basically, have and love your Valentine year ‘round.
